Provides mental health and substance abuse emergency services to individuals in crisis or to community agencies with individuals in crisis. Assesses level of risk and immediacy of the service needed. Conducts mental status examinations to establish provisional diagnosis and evaluates need for legal holds and level of care. Provides behavioral interventions as needed. Refers for appropriate follow up services. Collaborates with client, family, law-enforcement and community agencies around disposition planning.
Master’s degree in human services or related field required; Previous experience in crisis intervention preferred.
Crisis Response Clinician II:
Master’s degree in one of the recognized mental health professions required. Previous training in the mental health field required, with a minimum of six months of experience in crisis intervention desired.
Crisis Response Clinician III:
Master’s degree in one of the recognized mental health professions with a current Colorado license required. Previous training in the mental health field required, with a minimum of six months of experience in crisis intervention desired.
