The Peer Recovery Coach will perform outreach and engagement into Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for people experiencing an opiate use disorder. The goal of the program is to help people in need of treatment to get connected to available services with their communities.
Desired candidates will have firsthand experience with substance abuse disorders, either personally or as a family member of someone impacted with a substance abuse disorder. Must be willing to help individuals connect with Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), specifically MAT, and share their experience with the treatment community and medical professionals. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with multi-levels of medical professionals. Must be able to type into various software applications and have a working knowledge of windows based computer applications including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
