Greg Poschman Named Volunteer Fundraiser Of Year As $2,000,000 Building Sanctuary | Rebuilding Lives Challenge Nears Goal
West Springs Hospital is proud to announce that Greg Poschman has been named the 2018 Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals/Colorado Chapter for his accomplishments on behalf Building Sanctuary | Rebuilding Lives, the Campaign to build the new West Springs Hospital. Poschman received the award at this year’s annual National Philanthropy Day event in Denver.
Through Poschman’s efforts a challenge grant was created and is nearing its $4,000,000 goal to raise the final dollars for the new West Springs Hospital. Poschman, an Emmy-winning filmmaker and Pitkin County Commissioner, inspired and motivated generous Roaring Fork Valley and Eagle County donors to develop a dollar-for-dollar matching grant to double campaign contributions.
“We have some very important challenges here on the western slope of Colorado and I realize that I can’t sit on the sidelines any longer, I need to be involved “says Poschman. “I’d like to inspire and encourage everyone to make a commitment, to do something for others. “Once you commit to it, all sorts of fantastic things happen.”
The new, private, not-for-profit West Springs Hospital offers state-of-the-art treatment in emergency and non-emergency situations, and has doubled in size with a capacity now of up to 64 patients. A world-class healing environment, it remains the only psychiatric hospital on Colorado’s Western Slope.
