Kim Boe to Retire from West Springs Hospital
West Springs Hospital, a 64-bed psychiatric hospital located in Grand Junction, Colorado, has announced that the Hospital’s top administrator and executive vice president, Kim Boe, is retiring after nearly 12 years of dedicated service. Brandi Kroese, who previously served as director of operations, will now take on the role of vice president, overseeing hospital operations.
During her tenure at West Springs Hospital, Boe played a significant role in the design, fundraising, and opening of the Hospital’s new, state-of-the-art facility, which opened in December of 2018.
“The passion, dedication and hard-work that Kim has contributed to our organization and community will not be forgotten,” said Sharon Raggio, chief executive officer of Mind Springs Health, Inc., West Springs Hospital’s parent organization. “Kim has helped build an amazing team of mental healthcare professionals at West Springs Hospital who are truly saving lives daily. Under her leadership, the Hospital has received tremendous respect and recognition on both a state and national level. I couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishments over the past decade and wish her nothing but happiness and peace as she enjoys a well-deserved retirement.”
Having joined the organization as a substance abuse supervisor in 2007, Kroese is no stranger to the organization. After leading the Women’s Recovery Center for four years, she transitioned to the role of director of operations in 2015, working closely beside Boe in making critical decisions impacting patients and staff. In addition to her clinical education and expertise, Kroese holds as master of business administration from Colorado Christian University.
“Over the past few years, I have seen this organization grow and evolve,” said Kroese. “One thing that has never wavered has been the dedication of our staff to serve our communities. It’s amazing to be a part of this team and to have the opportunity to work with our community partners to ensure that everyone who needs mental health services has access to safe, quality care.”
Kroese’s official transition to the vice president role will begin on Monday, March 15, 2021.
