Glenwood Springs Crisis Program Coordinator
Taylor Walker is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has two years of post-graduate experience working with all age groups. Taylor has counseling experience across a variety of treatment settings including inpatient residential treatment, outpatient treatment in a community mental health facility, and crisis counseling in the community. Taylor currently serves children, adolescents, and adults in crisis related to the following areas:
Addictive behaviors, substance use issues, dating violence/ abuse, suicidal thinking, non-suicidal self-harm, homicidal thinking, and chronic mental illness putting someone at risk of harm
Taylor uses a blend of Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality. Taylor’s approach emphasizes the mutual developmental of goals for therapy to reduce immediate risk and help people stabilize before transitioning into lower levels of care.
