Each week, our therapy offices hold what we call Open Access Hours. During these times, anyone who is interested can come in and enroll for treatment.
When you come to Open Access Hours, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork, so that we can learn a bit about you. Then someone from our treatment team will meet with you to talk about your experiences and determine what kind of treatment would be best for you.
After you fill out some paperwork and meet with someone from the treatment team, we schedule your first therapy appointment.

DAY TREATMENT ALTERNATIVE (DISC) DISC stands for Day In School Counseling and was begun several years ago in collaboration with the Department of Social Services. This voluntary program is a more intensive option for kids who are displaying serious behavior problems at school and may have other mental health and/or family concerns as well.
DISC includes individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy when available, case management and incentives for behavior. Incentives are an important component because the kids enrolled typically need external motivation to positively change their behavior at first.
Kids are referred to DISC through schools, social services, and community agencies. A parent must be willing to have an assigned caseworker and a treatment plan at the Department of Social Services for a child to participate. Therapy, case management and incentives are provided at no cost to families.
Proactively ensuring that everyone has access to quality health care through affordability, creative staffing, and careful management, Mind Springs Health also offers services through the only federally qualified Community Health Center in Northwest Colorado.
